Vergo has an environmental approach to build
“a better tomorrow”
for future generations.
At Vergo, as part of our sustainable manufacturing approach, we invest in renewable energy sources and increase the use of clean energy throughout our production processes. In line with this commitment, our rooftop solar power plant, with an installed capacity of 2.7 MW, became operational in 2024.
The electricity generated by our solar power plant is primarily used in our own manufacturing operations, while surplus energy is supplied to the grid, contributing to the broader adoption of renewable energy.
CBAM Compliance
As our inventories indicate, a significant share of our environmental impact originates from our value chain. Therefore, within the scope of the EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), we systematically monitor the embedded carbon emissions of our products and strengthen data-sharing practices with our suppliers.
At Vergo, we invested in clean and renewable energy through the Serra Solar Power Plant project, commissioned in 2020 in the Akseki district of Antalya. With an annual electricity generation of 13.5 GWh, the plant contributes to reducing dependence on fossil fuels and energy-related carbon emissions.
